Case Overview
The Red Vault pool contains 153 listed skin variants spanning rifles, pistols, sniper rifles, SMGs, and other weapon classes. The structure combines heavily weighted lower-value entries with a smaller set of higher-value finishes. Upper-tier examples include established AK-47, AWP, M4A1-S, and M4A4 finishes. Exterior condition can materially change the listed value of the same finish, so each condition-probability pair should be treated as a distinct statistical outcome. The case is therefore best assessed through its full probability-weighted distribution rather than isolated premium items.
Value and Risk Factors
Expected value (EV) is calculated by multiplying each item's value by its published probability and summing the results. A case may contain several high-value skins while still producing a lower EV when those outcomes have very small weights and most probability mass is concentrated in lower-value entries. Variance increases as the gap between common outcomes and rare upper-tier outcomes expands. Item-pool quality also depends on liquidity, weapon demand, exterior condition, and price stability. Market changes can alter EV even if published probabilities remain unchanged. For comparison, the most useful indicators are probability concentration, EV ratio, variance, and the stability of the underlying skin market.
